Removals Tip Of The Week: #18 Beware Of Newsprint

newspapers for packing materials

When it comes to moving house and packing up all your fragile items, glassware and crockery, using old newspapers and magazine pages to securely pack your precious items may seem like a great cheap packing idea. But use with caution as the old newspaper ink can rub off, causing marks and smudges to older style bone china dinner sets that have porous textures. It can also lead to an awful amount of washing up to do, once you move into the new house and unpack everything again. We recommend using professional packing paper, similar to news paper but acid free and without the messy print, perfect for any house move or packing an storage job.
